Kazakhstan has launched its first Women’s Venture Fund, aimed at supporting female entrepreneurs with capital, mentorship, and international opportunities. The fund, announced by Women in Tech Kazakhstan, is open to all investors regardless of ticket size.
The announcement was made during AI Week 2025, which is being held from September 26 to October 4 as part of the Digital Bridge forum. The event has turned Astana into a hub for artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and entrepreneurship.
AI Week features several key events. On Sept. 30, the Google Firebase Studio Championship will bring Central Asia’s top developers together for final pitches of 10 projects built using Firebase Studio and the Gemini API. Winners will receive cash prizes, Google Cloud Platform vouchers, and educational resources, while finalists gain certificates and Google credits worth up to $1,000.
On Oct. 1, Astana Hub will launch the third cohort of its flagship AI’preneurs accelerator, aimed at nurturing a new generation of AI startups. Industry leaders will share inspiring talks and success stories.
On October 2, it will concentrate on Web3, featuring sessions with Solana Foundation President Lily Liu and footballer Sol Campbell. The event will bring together blockchain experts, local IT entrepreneurs, and traditional businesses. On October 3, it will be an event about regional collaboration and cross-sector innovation, including networking and thematic sessions with technological leaders all over the globe.
On October 4, the AI Week will end with a networking event with TON CIS Hub, which will focus on the construction of the TON blockchain ecosystem and experience exchange among the participants.
