River City Labs in Brisbane Supports 20 Female Tech Innovators with New Mentorship Program

A new program in Queensland, Australia, is aimed at supporting women founders in the tech startup space. The program, called “Elevate Female Founders,” is open to 20 women founders based in Queensland and offers eight months of support, including structured mentoring, coaching, educational skills workshops, industry connections, and access to an Entrepreneur In Residence. Additionally, participants will receive a 12-month digital membership to River City Labs, an organization run by ACS, the professional association for Australia’s technology sector.

To be accepted into the program, aspiring founders must commit a minimum of 10 hours per week for the first four months and then receive dedicated support of 10 hours every fortnight for the following four months. They will also be required to travel to Brisbane twice between July and August 2024.

The program is divided into two streams: one for early-stage companies (pre-product) and another for later-stage companies (post-product). Participants will need to be Queensland residents with a tech startup registered in the state to qualify.

The 12-month River City Labs membership offers numerous benefits, including access to interns and tech professionals, a mentor database, and referrals to networks and business opportunities.

Pauline Fetaui, director of ACS Innovation Labs, explained that the program aims to support female entrepreneurs at various stages of their business journey, from the seed of an idea to a flourishing business. She emphasized that the program leverages both cohort-based and one-on-one support to guide founders toward their goals.

River City Labs has over a decade of experience in supporting tech startups, and the Elevate Female Founders program intends to harness this expertise to help women founders take their businesses to the next level.

The program’s unique approach includes leadership from fellow female founders and mentors, providing tailored support based on individual needs and business stages.
