Background
Saudi women are increasingly shaping the Kingdom’s hospitality sector, leading global communications, marketing, and brand storytelling across luxury resorts and giga-projects. At Red Sea Global, Mona Siraj and Reema Almokhtar are in charge of communicating The Red Sea and AMAALA with a combination of cultural understanding and international practices. Both began their careers in journalism, where they were among the few women in the room, which shaped their persistence and clarity.
Their leadership is an indication of Vision 2030 of providing women with space in top positions. They emphasize that authenticity and cultural literacy are the main guidelines to market Saudi hospitality in the international market.
AMAALA is developing into a year-round yachting destination, anchored by Triple Bay Marina, which will host vessels up to 140 meters and feature 116 berths. The project includes sailing regattas, a yacht club, and a sailing academy. Environmental initiatives aim to increase Red Sea biodiversity by 30% by 2040. AMAALA will also host the Grand Finale of The Ocean Race in 2027, boosting its international presence.
On the luxury resort side, Madaline AlKharabsheh manages The St. Regis Red Sea Resort and Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. She organizes activities, advertising initiatives, and media tours in various islands and balances work and family.
Through the integration of leadership, innovation, and cultural awareness, Saudi women are creating the future of hospitality in the Kingdom, considering Saudi Arabia as the destination of a high luxury, sustainable and world-class experience.
