Tameside Women Entrepreneurs Celebrated its First 2024 Event

A celebration of Tameside’s entrepreneurial women has triumphantly returned.
Tameside Women in Business held its first event of 2024 at The Restaurant at Tameside One, which attracted over sixty attendees.

Businesswomen from various different fields shared their thoughts and experiences in business management. The challenges in business with effective people management, leadership skills, customer services, technology applications and other topics were discussed. It made the session very inspiring and insightful.

Attendees got the opportunity to network, exchange experiences, and forge new and current business ties while also enjoying a delicious lunch prepared by Tameside College students studying catering and hospitality. The free event was praised by attendees as “inspiring, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable.”

“We had a fantastic time at our first TWIBs event of 2024 and we’re pleased to see from our guests’ feedback that the event was enjoyed by all,” said Louise Nolan, Practice Manager at Bromleys Solicitors in Ashton-under-Lyne, who served as the event’s host. Vic Elizabeth Turnbull, the creator of MIC media, a multi-award winning podcast production and training company, was the guest speaker.

In addition to co-founding and serving as director of Pods Up North, a podcaster convention, she has served as a judge for the British Podcast Awards for the last three years. Attendees from more than thirty organizations are there to support Bromleys’ efforts to expand the success of Tameside Women in Business. Already, preparations are on for the next June 12 event.
