With nearly two decades of experience at the Chamber, Coleman is poised to lead one of Nashville’s most influential business organizations, representing over 1,800-member companies across a 10-county region.

Coleman succeeds Ralph Schulz, who served as CEO for 18 years, leaving behind a legacy of significant milestones including successful corporate relocations and key community initiatives such as securing nonstop European flights and advocating for Nashville’s successful transit referendum. The Chamber also plays a vital role in driving business development and recruitment in the region.

During her 17 years with the Chamber, Coleman has held several key positions, including communications account executive, chief growth officer, and most recently, chief talent development officer. Her experience and leadership in these roles have earned her a reputation as a committed and effective leader within Nashville’s business community. Dr. C. Wright Pinson, chair of the Chamber’s board, praised Coleman as “the top choice in a very competitive selection process,” highlighting her deep understanding of the local business landscape and her strong relationships with stakeholders.

Coleman is an alumna of Vanderbilt University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. She also earned a master’s degree in international economic development and diplomacy from the University of Kentucky, as well as an MBA from Lipscomb University.

In a statement following her appointment, Coleman expressed her gratitude to the Chamber’s board and her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “My goal is to broaden the organization’s base and build on its strengths to make the Chamber even more effective in helping our community prosper.” With her extensive experience and vision for the future, Coleman is expected to lead the Chamber into its next chapter of growth and influence in the Nashville area.
