Lisa Lisson, Sr VP, FedEx to Keynote Annual Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Dinner

The Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute will host the Impact Leadership Dinner this fall. A senior FedEx Express executive who rose from an associate marketing specialist to become one of the top female leaders in the transportation industry will deliver the keynote address.

On September 21 at the Chattanooga Convention Center during the institute’s 18th annual leadership event, Lisa Lisson, senior vice president of hubs, ramps, and worldwide operations at FedEx Express in Memphis and former president of FedEx Canada, will give the keynote address.

The Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to leadership development. For 27 years, it has supported and elevated female leaders in the Chattanooga region by offering opportunities for both professional and personal growth. The dinner is the institute’s signature event, and over the years it has welcomed world-famous female leaders like Katty Kay, Randi Zuckerberg, Mika Brzezinski, and Gloria Steinem.

Lisa is the ideal leader to carry on this legacy in 2023, according to Meghan Greene, executive director of the organization. The yearly event aims to empower female leaders.

Following the untimely death of her husband at a young age, Lisson has documented her path becoming the head of FedEx in Canada. Lisson describes how she raised four children on her own while pursuing a lucrative career in her biography “Resilience.”

Leger, a Canadian-owned market research firm, conducted an annual reputation study and found that FedEx Express Canada, under Lisson’s leadership, ranked first in the shipping sector. As one of the Top 50 Places to Work in Canada, Best Workplaces for Women, Best Workplaces Managed by Women, Best Workplaces for Inclusion, Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness, and Best Workplaces for Giving Back, FedEx Express Canada has also received recognition from Great Place to Work.
